The six eyelet lace system with friction resistant metal free lace rings and a heavy duty side zip ensures both secure fastening and quick access. Both the laces and lining are made from recycled PET, making this boot an environmentally conscious choice as well as a practical one.

For safety, the Blundstone 8553 is built with a Fortalite composite toe cap, which is broad fitting, compression resistant, and tested to withstand a 200 joule impact. The streamlined TPU toe guard adds further protection in high wear areas. Underneath, the Griptek HD outsole is biomechanically engineered to provide optimum stability and slip resistance, while resisting oil, acid, organic fat, and microbial attack. It is also heat resistant to 140°C, making it highly versatile across a variety of workplaces and conditions.
